NORFOLK, Neb. – Two-time All-State Honorable Mention selection Molly Davis recently announced her commitment to the Northeast women’s basketball team, it was announced Friday.

Davis joins the Hawks from Yutan High School where she led her team to a 15-9 record as a senior. The four-time letterwinner was named to the East Central Nebraska Conference First Team in 2020, the Wahoo Newspaper All-Area Basketball First Team and the ECNC Basketball Second Team in 2019.

“We are really glad that Molly has committed to our program,” head coach Matt Svehla said. “She was a leader and key contributor for Yutan High School who had 15 wins. This is the second Yutan recruit (Maddie Egr in 2016-17) that we have had in the past five years. Molly is a solid guard who is able to play the point guard position and also the off-guard spot. She has a good feel for the game and will fit into our style of play.”

The Hawks finished with an overall record of 27-4 and a runner-up finish in the Region XI Championship game.
