York continues to be road warriors

ALLIANCE-Week two for the York Dukes featured another road game, this time near the panhandle as they took on the Alliance Bulldogs. The Dukes came away victorious with the final score reading 20-0. York came out strong with a 13-play drive to open the game, capped by a one-yard touchdown run by quarterback Jake Erwin. Erwin also scored from 84-yards out in the second quarter. The Dukes went to halftime leading 13-0.

In the second half, it was a defensive struggle but Ty Bartholomew scored from a yard out in the final seconds to secure the victory for York. Unofficially, Erwin totaled 215 yards rushing and a pair of scores for the Dukes in the victory.  Alliance falls to 0-2 and will go to Northwest next week. For York, they move to 2-0 and will take on McCook at home next week.
