Wegner and Otten power CCC Volleyball past Southeast

The Central Community College volleyball team defeated Southeast Community College, 3-1, in Beatrice on Wednesday night.

The Raiders won the first two sets, 25-17 and 25-13. The Storm took the third set, 25-22, before CCC took the match with a 25-21 final in the fourth set.

Jordan Wegner recorded 16 kills, while Chloe Odbert finished with 45 assists. Devyn Erickson tallied 13 digs and Rachel Otten had 11 kills and served three aces.

“We played a solid match overall,” said CCC head coach Abby Pollart. “I was proud of our consistency and ability to play our style of ball for the majority of the match.”

The win snaps a four-match losing streak and gives CCC a mark of 7-13.

The Raiders will close out the regular season on Saturday with a road venture at McCook Community College. The match begins at 5 p.m.
