Wegner and Otten help power CCC Volleyball to Region IX Tournament Title Match

The Raiders advanced to the championship of the Region IX volleyball tournament with a 3-0 win over Southeast Community College on Wednesday night at the Raider Fieldhouse.

The final scores were 25-17, 25-10 and 25-22.

Devyn EricksonEmily OttenRachel Otten and Jordan Wegner each recorded eight kills in the win. Chloe Odbert dished out 31 assists, while Erickson tallied 13 digs. Wegner made four blocks and Rachel Otten served three aces.

“I was really proud of the execution and well-balanced play we had tonight,” said CCC head coach Abby Pollart. “We stayed consistent with our game plan throughout the entire match. This is a great group to coach, and they are putting it all together at the right time.”

Central will play in the Region IX tournament championship game at 4 p.m. on Saturday at North Platte Community College. The top-seed Knights posted a 12-13 regular season record and swept CCC in both meetings.
