Wayne State Men and Women on the road this weekend

Wayne State faces NSIC South Division rematches on the road this weekend as the Wildcat men play at Winona State Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Upper Iowa Saturday in a 5:30 p.m. contest.  WSC is 5-12 on the season (2-6 NSIC South) and looking for their first win away from Rice Auditorium entering this weekends road trip.  Both Winona State and Upper Iowa enter the weekend with records of 7-7 overall and 4-4 in league play.  One month ago in Wayne, WSC edged Winona State 70-63 and rolled past Upper Iowa 88-69 in games played December 6th and 7th in Rice Auditorium.

The Wayne State College womens basketball team hits the road this weekend for NSIC South Division matchups at Winona State Friday (5:30 p.m.) and Upper Iowa Saturday (3:30 p.m.).  The Wildcats are 10-4 on the season and 5-3 in the tightly-bunched NSIC South Division heading into Fridays contest at Winona State, who is 9-3 and 5-3 in league play.  UIU starts the weekend at 2-12 and 1-7 in the NSIC South.  In the first meetings this season played December 6th and 7th in Wayne, Winona State rallied in the fourth quarter for a 76-73 win over the Wildcats while WSC handled Upper Iowa 86-59.
