Northeast Men lose to Marshalltown in final game of year

NORFOLK, Neb. – Down by a point heading into halftime, the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team scored only 26 points in the second half as they saw their season come to an end on Monday night at the hands of Marshalltown Community College, 58-49 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

Both teams were held to under 40 percent shooting from the field. The Hawks (13-18, 2-6 ICCAC) were led by Emmette Page (Crystal, Minn.) who recorded 20 points. Page also broke the record for most points scored in a single season that was previously held by Shawn Swan. Ben Moxness (Scribner, Neb.) added 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field.
