IRVING, Texas – Iowa State sophomore Ashley Joens claimed her third Big 12 Player of the Week honor of her career, the league announced Monday.
Ashley Joens had a banner week, averaging 24.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game/ Joens started the week off with a monster performance at home against TCU. She netted 31 points and hauled in 15 rebounds to lead the Cyclones.
Joens did not let up as she helped ISU to its second Big 12 road win of the season with another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Joens final board of the game with 20 seconds remaining helped seal the win for the Cyclones. Joens is currently first in the Big 12 in scoring, with 23.1 points and fifth nationally.
Joens and the Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. when they take on Kansas State
