Hansen named to All-GPAC Second Team; Sullivan also honored

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference announced its 2019-20 All-Conference Teams on Wednesday. Midland Universitys Amanda Hansen and Makenna Sullivan were both named to the list after helping guide the Lady Warriors this season.

Hansen, a senior from West Point, Nebraska, makes the list for the fourth time. After being named an honorable mention her first three seasons, she was named to the second team this year. She led the team with 13.5 points per game and added 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

Sullivan, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, makes the all-conference team for the first time as an honorable mention. She did a little bit of everything for Midland this year with an average of 6.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 22 assists and 22 steals.

Shandra Farmer of Hastings was selected as the GPAC Womens Basketball Player-of-the-Year. Other GPAC basketball honorees for 2019-20 include: Defensive Player-of-the-Year Philly Lammers of Concordia; Freshman-of-the-Year Konnor Sudmann of Briar Cliff; and the GPAC Coach-of-the-Year is Jina Douglas from Hastings. The All-GPAC Basketball Teams and honors are selected by the leagues 12 head coaches.
