Haliburton On Lute Olson Award Mid-Season Watch List

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State guard Tyrese Haliburton is one of 30 players that has been named to the Lute Olson Award Mid-Season Watch List.

The Lute Olson Award is presented annually to the nations top mens basketball player.

Haliburton is having an outstanding sophomore season for the Cyclones, ranking second in the Big 12 Conference averaging 17.7 points. He leads the league in assists per game (7.9) and steals per game (2.6), while also ranking second in three-point percentage (42.5) and third in field goal percentage (52.6).

The Oshkosh, Wisconsin native is also leading the league and ranks fourth nationally with a 3.28 assist-to-turnover ratio. Haliburton also ranks among the nations top-12 in assists per game (4th) and steals (11th).

Last weekend, Haliburton recorded the sixth triple-double in school history when he finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists against TCU.
