Many area schools competed on the links at the Crandell Creek Golf Course on Wednesday at the Ogallala Invite.
And like has been the case all season the two top teams in the region were once again jostling for position atop the leaderboard with Scottsbluff edging Gering for a second place finish on this day.
North Platte took home the team title in relatively comfortable fashion shooting a team score of 332. Scottsbluff was second with 347 and then Gering was a couple shots back in third place after a combined round of 349.
Baylee Steele of North Platte won the event, carding a round of 73.
The top area finisher was Scottsbluff’s Emily Krzyzanowski with a 79. Anna Kelley, also of Scottsbluff, finished in sixth place with her 83 on the card.
Gering’s Madi Schlaepfer finished in seventh (84) and here teammate, Avery Mitchell, came in eighth (85).
Chadron’s Maddi Pelton also notched a top ten finish in tenth place shooting 88.
Alliance’s best round came from Morgan Young (100). Payton Wise topped Kimball’s scoring with a 96, While Mitchell’s best round was turned in by Brookly Briggs, who shot 95.
