CCC Women down Mount Marty JV

January 10th, 2020 | Beth Rogers

The Central Community College womens basketball team lost to Mount Marty College JV, 67-51, on Friday night.

The Raiders got off to a slow start as they were held to six points apiece in the first two quarters. The Lancers led at the half, 34-12. CCC picked up steam in the second half and outscored Mount Marty, 39-33, but time ran out.

“We came out playing well, but we just could not get any baskets to fall and mount marry was hitting everything,” said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. “In the second half, we settled down and played some better basketball. We finished strong and saw some good things from the second bunch at end of the game.”

CCCs Sarah Monahan was the only player to reach double figures as she finished with 10 points.

With the loss, the Raiders are now 6-10 on the season.

Up next, CCC returns to Raider Fieldhouse for a Monday night clash with York College JV. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
