The Central Community College volleyball team lost to McCook Community College, 3-0, at the Raider Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
The final scores were 25-17, 27-25, 25-13.
“We did some really good things throughout, but we have got to put it together from start to finish,” said CCC head coach Abby Pollart. “We have got to start strong and finish strong and deal with some of the lulls in the middle.”
Before the match, three CCC sophomores were honored. Erickson, Wegner and Miranda Summers each played their final home match of their CCC careers.
“It’s a great group,” said Pollart. “I’m honored that they are Raiders and that I got to work with them. You couldn’t ask for a better three kids to stick with you for your first two years as a head coach. Those three have been our rocks all year and led the freshman group from start to finish. I love them to death.”
The loss gives the Raiders a 7-11 mark for the season.
CCC will take the week off for spring break and resume action on Saturday, March 13, at Concordia University JV. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. in Seward.
