The Central Community College volleyball team shut out Southeast Community College, 3-0, on Wednesday at the Raider Fieldhouse. The final scores were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-18.

Five CCC sophomores were recognized before playing in their final home regular season match – Michaela Dukes (right), Khloe Felker (second from right), Chloe Odbert (left), Emily Otten (second from left) and Rachel Otten (center).

Ashley Brown and Emily Otten led the Raiders with 12 kills apiece. Kamryn Chohon finished with 32 assists and 18 digs.

“It was pleasing to get the win at home and on sophomore night,” said CCC head coach Mary Young. “It wasn’t our cleanest match, but we found ways to battle through errors and get the sweep. Our outside hitters did a nice job of creating shots and producing quality offensive play.”

The win gives CCC a 15-17 season mark.

The Raiders will close out the regular season on Saturday with a triangular at McCook Community College. CCC will take on Lamar (Colo.) Community College at 2 p.m. followed by the host Indians at 4 p.m.
