January 27th, 2020 | Beth Rogers

Trevion Crawford scored 35 points to lead the Raiders to a 91-78 win over Iowa Western Community College on Saturday at Raider Fieldhouse.

Crawford nailed seven three-point baskets on the afternoon and played all but one minute of the contest.

Defensively, CCC clamped down early and led 41-25 at the half.

“I thought we played well defensively in the first half, and that got us off to a good start,” said CCC head coach John Ritzdorf. “We did a good job of rebounding the ball early in the game as well. Tre had a great game and really stepped up and hit some big time shots when we were struggling against the zone.”

Nathan Frost and Dwight Glover also scored in double figures with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Roman Behrens totaled 13 assists on the day.

The win is the third straight for the Raiders, who are now 13-8 on the season.

Up next, CCC hits the road for a Tuesday night contest at Des Moines Area Community College. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
