The Central Community College mens basketball team lost to Dakota County Technical College, 71-59, in the North District Playoff Championship on Saturday at Raider Fieldhouse.

The Raiders built a 10-point in the first half and went on to lead 33-26 at halftime. CCC put together a 13-point lead midway through the second half when it went on an extended scoring drought. The Blue Knights took advantage and took the lead with four minutes remaining en route to the 12-point win.

Trevion Crawford led the Raiders with 18 points, while Nathan Frost scored 11 points.

“Its disappointing to lose,” said CCC head coach John Ritzdorf. “It hurts. It should hurt, but we have nothing to hang our heads about. This group accomplished a lot that hasnt been done here in a long time or ever in some cases. Were not going to let one bad half of basketball diminish what weve been able to do this year.”

The Raiders finished the 2019-20 season with a mark of 20-11.

“I am very proud of our team and how it kept playing hard each and every game,” said Perkins. “This team has done some great things and Im very proud of each player. They have set a standard both on and off the court for future CCC teams.”
