Cadets Win in Four Sets Over Wisner-Pilger

WEST POINT – West Point-Beemer defeated Wisner-Pilger in four sets during high school volleyball action aired on 107.9 The Bull Tuesday night, Sept. 8.

The Cadets jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the match by taking the first set 25-23 and winning he second set 25-16.

The Gators battled back however, winning set three 25-23.

But West Point-Beemer was able to pull away, taking the fourth set 25-17, claiming the match 3-1.

Emily Buhrman and Lindsey Kneifl each had a double-double for Wisner-Pilger, with Buhrman recording 11 kills and 10 digs, while Kneifl had 10 kills and 15 digs. Adi Meyer had 39 assists for the Gators.

Impressive stats were aplenty for the Cadets. Sidney Swanson had 22 kills and 15 digs, Reece Snodgrass handed out 44 assists and had 16 digs, Jadyn Meiergerd had 11 kills and 12 digs, while Brooklyn Weddle amassed 30 digs.

Wisner-Pilger is now 3-3 and will travel to Oakland-Craig on Thursday.

West Point-Beemer improves to 6-3 and hosts Schuyler on Thursday.
