Despite an efficient night from Abbie Ericson, the Briar Cliff womens volleyball team fell in three sets (25-19, 25-19, 25-15) at Concordia Friday.

Ericson led the Chargers with a .462 attack rate (six kills, no errors, 13 attacks), but BC hit just .092 in the contest. Concordias Arleigh Costello was the only player with double-digit kills, putting down 11 for the Bulldogs.

Set one went back-and-forth early before a 5-0 run by the Bulldogs put the home team ahead 15-10. The Chargers looked to get back in it, matching nearly point-for-point through the end of the set, but ultimately fell by six points.

Grace Hanno led BC with 12 digs and Tannah Heath added seven. Madilyn Wagaman and Maureen Imrie dished out 11 and eight assists for the Chargers, respectively. Sami Wasmund took part in three blocks.

BC falls to 8-13 on the season and 3-10 in GPAC play while the Bulldogs improve to 9-3. The Chargers will look to bounce back Saturday with a contest at Midland in Fremont, Nebraska.
