The Briar Cliff softball program has announced the signing of Sage Lagud to the 2020-21 team. Lagud is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and a graduate of Liberty North High School.

Lagud earned four varsity softball letters in her high school career and garnered all-state honors. She is a two-time conference champ (2016, 2019) and also helped her team win a district and section title in 2016.

“Sage is an exceptional student-athlete who has had a great career on the field and in the classroom,” said head coach Erin Bly. “She is someone who has played at a very high level and will bring a lot versatility to our lineup. We are excited to have her talents at the Cliff!”

Off the field, Lagud has been active in her community being a part of Baby Grace Ministry and the Kansas City Pet Project and chose Briar Cliff because of the atmosphere, community, school and program.

Briar Cliff is the perfect distance from home,” said Lagud, “My coaches and teammates are encouraging and want me to be the best me I can be. They are my family for the next 4 years and I know I chose the best. I am so excited for the lifelong friendships and relationships I am going to make at Briar Cliff.”
