SHICKLEY – The BDS Eagles (7-0) have yet to lose a set this season, and the streak continued on Tuesday with a 3-0 win over the Cross County Cougars (1-2).
In the first set, both teams went back and forth for the most part. Cross County took a lead late in the set, but the Eagles went on a run that eventually gave them the first set 25-20.
Set two was a different story. BDS was able to taking a commanding lead early in the frame and didn’t look back, winning 25-13.
In the final set, BDS jumped out to another big lead, leading at one point by 12 in the set. Cross County however stormed back in the set, however ultimately fell short 25-17.
Senior middle hitter Macy Kamler led the Eagles with seven kills in the contest. For Cross County, senior outside hitter Cortlyn Schaefer had nine kills.
Next for the Eagles is a road game against Superior this Thursday September 10. Cross County travels to Central City on Thursday as well.
