TEKAMAH – North Bend Central swept Tekamah-Herman 3-0 on the road in High School Volleyball Action aired on 107.9 the Bull Thursday night.
NBC won set one 25-21, set two 25-20, and set three 25-11.
Tekamah-Herman scored the first point of each set, and in the first set tied things at 5, 6, and 8 before North Bend Central created some breathing room for themselves on their way to the set win.
Tekamah-Herman went up 3-1 in set two, but North Bend Central went up and once again proved to be too much.
North Bend Centrals Kaitlyn Emanuel had a match-high 13 kills while Elena Jetensky led Tekamah-Herman with 11 kills, and Brynn Schmidt added 9.
North Bend Central improves to 12-8 on the season and hosts BRLD Tuesday night. Tekamah-Herman falls to 6-16 and hosts Wisner-Pilger Tuesday night.
North Bend Central and Tekamah-Herman will meet again next Thursday in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Oakland-Craig at 6:00 p.m.
