(AUDIO) Hansen reflects on career at Midland

March 19th, 2020 | Beth Rogers

Former West Point-Beemer Girls Basketball Standout Amanda Hansen recently concluded her playing career at Midland. The Warriors went 12-19 in Hansens final season, but she says she still made a lot of memories.

Hansen scored 10 points in her final game, a 95-46 loss to Concordia in first round of the GPAC Tournament.

She says the Warriors seemed to have Morningsides number whenever the two teams got together in Sioux City.

Hansen says another favorite memory of hers is when Midland upset top ranked Concordia at home in her Sophomore year.

She adds college basketball was much more demanding than high school ball was.

Hansen majored in Business Administration at Midland with concentrations in Accounting and Management and a Minor in Marketing, and will be working at Accounting Firm KPMG in Lincoln in the fall.
