(AUDIO) Batenhorst named new Head Wrestling Coach at Wakefield-Allen

Former West Point-Beemer Assistant Wrestling Coach Josh Batenhorst has been named the new Head Coach at Wakefield-Allen. Batenhorst says he learned a lot coaching for the Cadets.

Batenhorst has been teaching the past two years at Allen, where he has also been an assistant football coach.

He takes over for Eric Burenheide, who stepped down.

Batenhorst is a 2008 graduate of West Point-Beemer, having wrestled for the Cadets.

Batenhorst says getting to know the kids at Wakefield has been the toughest part of the transition.

Batenhorst adds the opportunity is a dream come true for him.

Batenhorst says the goal is to get football players at Allen not out for a winter sport to wrestle for the Trojans.
