Including the cities of Onawa, Mapleton, Pender, Macy, Walthill, Winnebago, West Point, Wisner, Tekamah, Oakland, Lyons, Decatur, Schuyler, Fremont, and David City


...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 9 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Nebraska and west central Iowa.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will become very difficult by early this evening. Patchy blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening and Wednesday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will spread eastward across the area later this morning. The heaviest snowfall is forecast to start after 1 PM and continue throughout the afternoon and nighttime.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
