West Point Community Foundation Awards Scholarships

West Point Community Foundation Awards Scholarships

The West Point Community Foundation has selected the recipients of 32 scholarships awarded to members of the Class of 2019.
Seven students have been selected to receive the Allison Roeber Memorial Scholarships, five from the Foundation and two sponsored by the Don and Cathy Roeber. Each scholarship is worth $500.

 

 

 

Receiving the scholarships are Brooke Haase, Andrea Hoffman, Hannah Hrbek, Alecia Keller, Seirra Kile, Paige Peters, and Grace Steinmeyer,

 

 

 

Abby Kaup will receive the $500 Russ Herman Journalism Scholarship with Tyson Snodgrass as alternate. Dylan Duhsmann was selected to receive the $500 Lindberg Northeast Community College Scholarship with Jakob Andreasen as alternate.

 

 

 

The Hank and Mona Stalp Scholarships worth $1000 will go to MorningStar Roundstone, Paige Peters, Kariden Briggs, Tyson Snodgrass, Jared Minnick, Hannah Hrbek, Xavier Steffensmeier, Alisen Niewohner, Sierra Kile, Brooke Haase, Kendra Paasch, Cristina Saldana, Darian Repschlaeger, Emily Hatterman, Grace Steinmeyer, Megan Schroeder, Taylor Lynn Suhr and Mersadies Buderus. Paige Peters was selected for the ARC – Elkhorn Valley Scholarship in Memory of Hattie Janecek for anindividual seeking a degree with a Special Education. The scholarship is worth $500. Madeline Erb receives the $500 ARC in Memory of Hattie Janecek Student Scholarship.

 

 

 

The Gwen F. Kaup Memorial Scholarship worth $1,000 is being awarded to Rebbeca Weddell. The Butterfly Angels Scholarships, each worth $500, are in memory of Lola Persson and Gwen (Persson) Kaup. Scholarship winners are Hannah Hrbek and Dylan Newkirk.

 

 

 

RECEIVING SCHOLARSHIPS:

 

 

 

Karidan Briggs, parents are Tony and Shonna Briggs of Walthill, is a graduate of Bancroft-Rosalie High School. Karidan plans to attend Wayne State College and pursue a degree in Pre-Chiropractic.
Mersadies Burderus, daughter of Elizabeth Buderus of Wisner, is a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School. Mersadies plans to attend Northeast Community College and pursue a degree in Social Work.
Dylan Duhsmann, parents are Greg and Brenda Duhsmann of West Point, is a graduate of Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Dylan plans to attend Northeast Community College and pursue a degree in
Criminal Justice.

 

 

 

Madeline Erb, parents are David and Jennifer Erb of West Point, is a graduate of West Point-Beemer High School. Madeline plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and pursue a degree in
Communication Sciences. Brooke Haase, parents are Michael and Kari Haase of West Point, is a graduate of West Point-Beemer
High School. Brooke plans to attend Wayne State College and pursue a degree in Elementary Education.  Emily Hatterman, parents are David and Sara Hatterman of Wisner, is a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School. Emily plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursue a degree in Agri-business and Pre-Law.

 

 

 

Andrea Hoffman, parents are Bob and Michelle Hoffman of West Point, is a graduate of West PointBeemer High School. Andrea plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursue a degree in
Law Enforcement.  Hannah Hrbek, parents are Doug and Ann Hrbek of West Point, is a graduate of Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Hannah plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and pursue a degree in Biology. Abby Kaup, parents are Travis Kaup and Melissa Haase of West Point, is a graduate of West PointBeemer High School. Abby plans to attend the University of South Dakota and pursue a degree in Journalism.

 

 

 

Alecia Keller, parents are Byron and Jennifer Keller of Wisner, is a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School. Alecia plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and pursue a degree in Social Work.
Sierra Kile, parents are Jahn and Shelly Kile of West Point, is a graduate of West Point-Beemer High School. Sierra plans to attend Midland University and pursue a degree in Athletic  raining/Exercise
Science.

 

 

 

Jared Minnick, parents are Jason and Rebecca Minnick of West Point, is a graduate of Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Jared plans to attend Wayne State College and pursue a degree in Science Education. Dylan Newkirk, parents are Jessica Burbridge and Jon Schnebel of West Point, is a graduate of West Point-Beemer High School. Dylan plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and pursue a degree in Pre-Radiation Science.

 

 

 

Alisen Niewohner, parents are Steve and Jen Niewohner of Scribner, is a graduate of Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Alisen plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursue a degree in Animal Science. Kendra Paasch, parents are David and Karin Paasch of Scribner, is a graduate of West Point-Beemer High School. Kendra plans to attend Wayne State College and pursue a degree in  Chemistry/PrePhysician Assistant. Paige Peters, parents are Rod and Cindi Peters of Bancroft, is a graduate of Bancroft-Rosalie High
School. Paige plans to attend Wayne State College and pursue a degree in Education.

 

 

 

Darian Repschlaeger, parents are Todd and Jackie Repschlaeger of West Point, is a graduate of West Point-Beemer High School. Darian plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursue a
degree in Veterinary Science. MorningStar Roundstone, daughter of Connie Roundstone of Pender, is a graduate of Bancroft-Rosalie
High School. MorningStar plans to attend Northeast Community College and pursue a degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
Cristina Saldana, daughter of Lorenzo Saldana of West Point, is a graduate of West Point-Beemer High School. Cristina plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and pursue a degree in Secondary Education.

 

 

 

Megan Schroeder, parents are Todd and Holly Schroeder of Wisner, is a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School. Megan plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursue a degree in Agri-business and Banking. Tyson Snodgrass, parents are Alan and Holly Snodgrass of West Point, is a graduate of Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Tyson plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursue a degree in Broadcasting.
Xavier Steffensmeier, parents are Ryan and Charissa Steffensmeier of West Point, is a graduate of Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Xavier plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha and pursue a degree in Business.

 

 

 

Grace Steinmeyer, parents are Russ and Amy Steinmeyer of Wisner, is a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School. Grace plans to attend Concordia University-Nebraska and pursue a degree in Biology.
Taylor Lynn Stuhr, parents are Mike and Jennifer Stuhr of Wisner, is a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School. Taylor Lynn plans to attend Southeast Community College and pursue a degree in Pre-Nursing.
Rebbeca Weddell, parents are Kris and Laura Weddell of West Point, is a graduate of West PointBeemer High School. Rebbeca plans to attend Concordia University and pursue a degree in Business Management.

 

 

 

The West Point Community Foundation is a non-profit tax-exempt organization.
