Volunteers Needed To Remove Sandbags From Levee Area In West Point

Volunteers Needed To Remove Sandbags From Levee Area In West Point
Volunteers turned out in mass in March to help with sandbagging efforts along the West Point levee.

Volunteers are needed to remove around 20,000 sandbags from along the West Point levee which were placed there during potential flooding from the Elkhorn River.

The  bags weigh around 40 to 80 pounds so no children are needed.  Volunteers will meet around the horse arena at the Cuming County fairgrounds this Thursday, May 2nd at 5:30 p.m.

Food will be provided by Grain States Soya when they’re finished.
