Siouxland Garden Show to provide educational sessions throughout the month of April

South Sioux City, NE – After recently canceling its annual two-day event, the Siouxland Garden Show committee has announced a series of virtual education sessions for the month of April.

The sessions will be hosted through Zoom video conferences that the public is free to join. Links to the sessions will be made available at www.siouxlandgardenshow.org, as well as on the organization’s Facebook page. Viewers will have the opportunity to ask the presenters questions during the events. There will be two sessions each Friday during the month of April, with a morning session at 10 a.m. and an afternoon session scheduled for 3 p.m. each week.

Each educational session will be recorded and most will be posted online the following week. The links will be available on the Siouxland Garden Show Facebook page.

April 17, 10 a.m. – Cooking with Herbs (Renee Sweers, ISU Extension and Outreach)
*April 17, 3 p.m. – Morels, False Morels and Other Wild Mushrooms (Lina Rodriguez-Salamanca, PhD, ISU Extension and Outreach)

April 24, 10 a.m. – Common Spiders of Iowa (Donald Lewis, ISU Extension and Outreach)
April 24, 3 p.m. – Composting (Dawn Henderson, ISU Extension and Outreach)
