Northeast to offer FAFSA Assistance at Norfolk and South Sioux City Campuses

NORFOLK, NE – College-bound students and their parents intimidated by the financial aid process are encouraged to sign up for personalized assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid® (FAFSA) application.

Northeast Community College will offer assistance on Wednesday, February 5, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., in the Hawks Point dining hall on the Norfolk campus.

During this event, representatives from the Northeast Financial Aid Office will be available to provide one-on-one help in completing the FAFSA application. The FAFSA form allows students to request federal grants, work-study, and loans, through one application. Students should apply early to maximize aid opportunities.

Students will need to bring a personal laptop, if available, student and parent(s) 2018 tax return, student and parent(s) 2018 W-2, FSA username and password for the student and parent, information on child support paid or received in 2018, as well as information regarding any other untaxed income earned in 2018.

There is no cost to attend any of the sessions and there is no obligation to register with Northeast Community College for anyone who participates.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE – The Financial Aid Office at Northeast Community College will sponsor a series of sessions through April at its extended campus in South Sioux City to offer college-bound students and their parents with one-on-one assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid® (FAFSA) application.

The FAFSA form allows students to request federal grants, work-study, and loans, through one application. Students should apply early to maximize aid opportunities.

Students will need to bring a personal laptop, if available, student and parent(s) 2018 tax return, student and parent(s) 2018 W-2, FSA username and password for the student and parent, information on child support paid or received in 2018, as well as information regarding any other untaxed income earned in 2018.

The next session will be held from 9:15-10:45 a.m., on Thursday, January 30.

Other sessions will be held from 4-5:45 p.m., on Monday, February 3; 3:15-4:45 p.m., on Wednesday, February 12; 3:15-5:15 p.m., on Thursday, February 20; 8:15-9:45 a.m., on Tuesday, February 25; 5-7 p.m., on Wednesday, March 4; 2-4 p.m., on Thursday, March 19; 9-10:30 a.m., Friday, April 3; 3:15-5:15 p.m., on Tuesday, April 14; 10:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22; and 1:15-3 p.m. Monday, April 27.

All sessions will be held at the Northeast Community College Extended Campus, 1001 College Way, in South Sioux City.
