NORFOLK, NE – High school students will have the opportunity to build skills and knowledge used in every career level of information technology at a free camp to be held at Northeast Community College this summer.

Raspberry Pi Jeopardy Camp will meet Thursday, June 20, and Friday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days on Northeast’s Norfolk campus.

Raspberry Pi is an inexpensive single-board computer that can be used to build modern Internet of Things (IoT) projects and embedded systems. Campers will explore the virtues of the Raspberry Pi computer by building a Jeopardy-style game show emulator. The two days will be packed full of electronics, soldering, programming in Python and more, as campers work on their projects from start to finish.

Registration is limited to the first 20 applicants and is available to students who will be in grades 9 through 12 for the 2019-20 school year.

The camp is offered free of charge.
