New Budget, Parking Lot Sales on Scottsbluff Council Agenda Tuesday

The Scottsbluff City Council will have a full agenda tonight, including a public hearing and final consideration of a $45.5 million dollar budget for the next fiscal year.

Under the spending blueprint, the city’s property tax levy request would equal $216 for every $100,000 in valuation, generating just over $2,024,000 in property tax revenue.

Also on the agenda, increasing the city’s hotel accommodation occupation tax from four to eight percent, and the purchase of two city-owned downtown parking lots by a local bank and law firm.

The Council will also consider a resolution to apply for $200,000 in Federal assistance from the Land and Water Conservation Fund program for building improvements at the 23 Club Baseball Complex.
