The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has launched 2021’s Moving the Metro, an interactive map of ongoing and upcoming construction projects provided by NDOT in the Omaha metro area. Up-to-date information on construction projects taking place this year can be found at ndot.info/mtm. There, an interactive map, and downloadable factsheet summarize anticipated impacts to traffic, expected construction timeframes, and contact information.

Several significant projects, both by NDOT and other local agencies, are planned for and will be underway during the 2021 construction season. Moving the Metro provides information to drivers in the
Omaha metro of construction projects and associated traffic impacts. NDOT encourages drivers make informed decisions about their commute.

NDOT District 2 Engineer, Tim Weander, provided an update of the ongoing and upcoming highway and interstate construction in the Omaha metropolitan area. A recording of the event is available at https://youtu.be/5AAO41JFOk0. A detailed presentation is available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iYY6gTztog.

Visit ndot.info/mtm to learn about what you can expect throughout the 2021 construction season. Always remember to slow down, follow detours, and buckle up, phone down.
