Lyons Pool up and running for summer

The Lyons Municipal Swimming Pool opened up for the summer on Memorial Day Monday.

Hours are 12:30-5:00 p.m. and 5:30-8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12:30-6:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Swim lessons will be held in July, and the cost is $25 per person, according to City Clerk Mary Lou Ritter.

The pool has 3 water slides and a diving board in the deep end.

Also featured are lilly pads with rope monkey bars, a small lazy river, and a splash area for young kids.

Ritter says family season passes are $110, single season passes are $60, $5 a day 13 years and up, $3 a day for ages 3-12, and two years and under free with a paid adult.

The pool also offers pool parties at $100 an hour, or $125 for an hour and-a-half.
