Four Arrested In Pilger Residence On Drug Charges

Four Arrested In Pilger Residence On Drug Charges

Just before 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office arrested a 25 year old Pilger man on 4th Street in Pilger for Driving during Suspension, Obstructing a Police Officer and a Lancaster County Arrest Warrant for Theft.

 

 

 

Cody Murphree was jailed following his arrest and following further investigation into Murphree’s activity, a search warrant was obtained for his residence in Pilger.  During the service of the search warrant by the Sheriff’s office, a stolen firearm from Pierce County was recovered along with methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia and also second firearm.

 

 

 

Murphree now faces additional felony charges of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Theft by Receiving for possessing the stolen firearm from Pierce County.

 

 

 

Daniel Randall

 

 

 

During the search of the residence Daniel Randall, 24, Pilger was found hiding in a crawl space under the residence.  Randall was also charged with Obstructing a Police Officer, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.  Also arrested at the residence were Kathleen Ransen, 43, Pilger and Jason Jensen, 42, Pilger.  Ransen faces charges of Obstructing a Police Officer, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.  Jensen faces Possession of Methamphetamine and Obstructing a Police Officer charges.  All four remain in jail pending bond.  A fifth person is being sought by the Sheriff’s office, Laura Damon, 34, of Creighton.  She is being sought for a felony charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.

Anyone with knowledge of her location is asked to contact the Sheriff’s office.  A large quantity of suspected stolen property was also recovered from the residence.  A second search warrant was served at the residence later in the night by the Sheriff’s office and Wayne Police Department in regards to a recent armed robbery in Wayne.
