A 30-year old Creston woman and her 23-month old daughter were transported to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk following a two-vehicle accident near Stanton late Wednesday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 57 and 32, eight miles south of Stanton.

The woman, Kelly Olmer, was northbound when a westbound semi-tractor trailer driven by 60-year old Michael Thompson, of Gilman, Iowa, pulled into her path.

Thompson declined medical treatment.

Fog was extremely heavy at the time of the accident.

The intersection was partially blocked for about 45 minutes to clear the scene.
