City Of York Purchases Land For Public Infrastructure

YORK- City Council for the community of York has signed off on a purchase agreement for .798 acres and .63 acres of land to be used for public infrastructure. The purchase price for the land is $26,800. The land is near the northeast corner of East 16th Street and North Washington Street. The reason for this land purchase is to extend Washington avenue to the north and construct an open channel drainage ditch for that area for stormwater.

This project will include infrastructure for the public including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, electricity, communication, and gas utility. It will also help with traffic flow issues.
