The owners of Western Sleep Clinic, Western C-PAP Supply and Sweet Dreams Sleep Services have created a new company seeking to develop a new $2.6 million regional sleep clinic in Gering.

BriMark Medical would build the 9,000 square foot facility on the southwest corner of 10th Street and Country Club Road, and is seeking $791,000 in Tax Increment Financing from the city.

Western Sleep owner Mark Schultz told the city’s Community Redevelopment Authority the project could help further transform the 10th Street corridor and really be something special. “Up to this point I’ve relied on ‘you’re only as good as your last study’.  Hospitals, providers, midlevel providers refer to us because we do a great job,” said Schultz. “A CEO over at Box Butte (General),  about five years into this (Western Sleep) said ‘Mark, you know, people can go to other places to get a sleep study done; they can go to National Jewish in Denver, they can go to Swedish, but they can’t get a better one done’.”

With the three businesses relocating to the new facility, Schultz says they anticipate adding 10 or so new positions to existing employment.

The redevelopment plan’s preliminary cost-benefit analysis was given a green light, sending the application to the city’s Planning Commission.
