NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College in Norfolk will offer a basic life support class and a renewal opportunity for healthcare providers in September.
BLS for Healthcare Provider Course (HLTH 5300/20F & CRN #60084) will be held Saturday, September 5, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Arlo Wirth building, Room 101.
This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. A BLS for Healthcare Providers course certification card will be issued upon successful completion.
Cost of the class, with Ethan Larson the instructor, is $60.
BLS for Health Care Provide Renewal (HLTH 5305/20F & CRN #60071) will be held Wednesday, September 9, from 6-10 p.m., in the same location.
This course is designed to refresh the knowledge of a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Participants are asked to bring their current certification card with them to class.
Cost of the course, with Matt Montgomery the instructor, is $40.
