(AUDIO) West Point City Council Meets Tuesday for regular monthly meeting

The West Point City Council held a Public Hearing Amending the City’s Community Development Block Grant Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund and the City’s Housing Revolving Loan Fund Program to allow the re-purposing of program income towards the Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project at Tuesday nights meeting. City Administrator Tom Goulette says the total amount could be about $215,000.

Goulette also gave an update on what has been done so far as far as filters go.

Goulette says as far as the swimming pool/rec center item the city is going out with the RSQ as a request for qualifications, and will interview several different engineering/architectural firms to see who the committee would like to work with in moving forward with the replacement of the pool and the possibility of the rec center.

He adds the evaluation of the existing swimming pool is also going to be included in this.
