The West Point-Beemer School Board met for their regular monthly meeting Monday night. Superintendent Bill McAllister gave a COVID Update.

The meeting was live streamed on the School’s Facebook Page.

McAllister discussed LB210, the school participation bill that advanced in the legislature.

McAllister also talked about LB408, which the Revenue Committee has advanced.

McAllister provided a school improvement update for March 16th and 17th as well.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, the board accepted a bid from Aquila Environmental to replace all lights and fixtures with LED lighting at an estimated cost of $185,000 with projected savings of an estimated $44,000 a year, and $700,000 over the life span that includes a 1% surplus that is replaced for 10 years.
