August 14th, 2020 | Dewey Nelson

The Nebraska State College System moved the fall semester up one week, beginning on Monday, August 17th. This will have students done with the first semester before Thanksgiving.

Wayne State College President Dr. Marysz Rames says this provided an additional education opportunity for students at WSC.

Dr. Rames says that when the fall semester begins on Monday, theyre asking students and faculty to do four things to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The other three pillars are social distancing, monitoring of your symptoms and keeping good hygiene.

Dr. Rames says they are providing a way for students and faculty to track their health and symptoms.

WSC will begin the fall semester with in-person classes. Their operating plan for this school year is available at their website, wsc.edu.
