May 6th, 2020 | Dewey Nelson

St. Joseph’s Elder Services is planning a Community Mother’s Day Parade to be held on Friday, May 8.

The purpose of the parade is to help brighten the day for residents of their two facilities, St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa and St. Joseph’s Retirement Community.

Below is information on the parade from St. Joseph’s Elder Services.

“We are inviting the community to take part in this parade; our residents would love to see signs and waves from those driving by. We ask that anyone wishing to participate meet at the West Point/Beemer Public School parking lot at 4:00 pm. The parade is scheduled to begin at 4:30 and will proceed down Washington Street, turn into the parking lot(s) at The Villa and then process further down Washington Street to the Retirement Community parking lot; residents will be sitting outside watching as the cars drive by. The parade will be held weather permitting; rain date is Monday, May 11, same times.”
