Scribner Volunteer EMTs Joe Roberts and Chelsea Stockamp were deployed to New York City for three weeks to help fight the Coronavirus Pandemic. Roberts, who is also Regional Manager for Midwest Medical, explains how this all came about and how it was organized.

Stockamp says she suddenly found out she was going.

Stockamp says it was an unforgettable experience.

She adds it was very eerie at first as everyone wore masks.

Stockamp says they got to have a little fun as well.

Roberts describes the World Trade Center experience.

Roberts says his favorite memory was playing UNO with members of the FDNY late night/early morning at one of the EMS Stations.

Roberts adds he was able to stay in contact with his family the entire time.

Roberts says he and his team worked a shift of 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

He adds they were treated like Royalty and Celebrities.

Roberts says members of the FDNY were so welcoming.

Roberts adds both he and Stockamp left on April 10th and got back home on May 1st.

He says were tested for Coronavirus when they got back, and both tests came back negative.

Both say they would do it all over again if they could.
