(AUDIO) Miles For Heroes Freedom Fest set for last weekend in August

Miles for Heroes Freedom Fest will be held on Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th in Scribner. Joel Marreel tells KTIC News about the Entertainment that will perform that Friday.

Marreel says tickets are $10 and can be bought at the door.

Marreel tells KTIC News about events happening that Saturday.

Marreel says registration for the Poker Run can be done on site that Saturday, on their Facebook Page, or website, milesforheroes.com.

He adds people that sign up now for the fun run and walk are promised a shirt.

Marreel says all proceeds from the event, from which the organization was started by his son and a guy by the name of Curtis Thomas, will go to Nebraska Veterans.

Marreel says they had their best turnout at one of their Goose Hunts in Cozad.

He adds a motorcycle will be given away to a Veteran as well.

Marreel tells KTIC News that they will be following coronavirus restrictions and guidelines.

Marreel says theyre looking at having like 50 or 75 gallons of hand sanitizer.
