KTICs JD Gibbs hosted Nebraska Game and Parks Greg Wagner on Wednesday for their weekly chat on 840 KTICs Midday in MidAmerica Program. The two talked about the slowdown in the park system due to schools resuming and how thats a great time to get some less populated time at a state park and rec area.

Wagner says people are asked to wear a mask in a building or a crowded space, stay 6 feet away from one another, and wash hands frequently.

Husker Football has been postponed this fall due to the coronavirus pandemic. Wagner says hunting season wont be cancelled, however.

Wagner says September 1st opens up the Dove, Archery Deer, and Grouse Hunting Seasons, with September 5th marking the start of the Teal Duck Hunting Season, and Turkey Hunting season September 15th.

Wagner also provided a fishing tip during the weekly conversation, saying the secret to catching bass is using a fake frog.
