(AUDIO) Cuming County Board of Supervisors approve Bluestem’s reapplication for Wind Turbine Facility in County

Bluestem Energy Solution’s reapplication for a Conditional Use Permit for a Single Wind Turbine Facility to be built in Cuming County was unanimously approved at Tuesday morning’s Cuming County Board of Supervisors meeting. West Point Resident Dave Wimmer says the Wind Turbine is worth a shot.

Others spoke out against the Single Wind Turbine Facility, including Daryle Urwiler of Pender in Cuming County.

Urwiler is concerned that one wind turbine will lead to more.

Doug Nelson of Wayne also spoke out against the Wind Turbine Facility, saying wind turbines have had a negative impact in Wayne and Dixon counties.

Nelson’s comments come after 10 years of research.
