Construction is expected to begin next month on new homes that will sit where the former Wisner-Pilger Elementary and Head Start Buildings once sat. Alan Harms, Vice President for Wisner Community Development, says the homes will be rent-to-own.
Harms says homes are expected to be available next summer.
Rob with Foundations is the contact to apply to live in one of the homes, according to Harms.
They will be four-bedroom, ranch-style homes with full basements and an attached two-car garage.
