(AUDIO) City of Scribner receives Grant for Mohr Auditorium Renovation; City Parks and School Playground closed

April 6th, 2020 | Beth Rogers

The City of Scribner has been awarded a $60,000 Civic and Community Center Financing Fund Grant for renovation of Mohr Auditorium. City Administrator/Clerk Elmer Armstrong says painting and signage are among the renovations Mohr Auditorium will undergo.

Armstrong says there will also be a new sound system and projection type equipment to add into that for things such as meetings and weddings.

The city was chosen for the grant based on the fact the project is located within city limits, the city owns the facility, and the city was willing to match the funds.

Scribner has closed their parks, and the schools playground is also closed due to COVID-19.

Armstrong said.

The parks and playground were closed per a request from the Three Rivers Public Health Department.
