Area Agencies Discuss Flood Relief Available In West Point

NE Extension Educator Larry Howard leads the flood recovery for ag producers meeting Monday afternoon in West Point. Larry talked mainly about the resources at flood.unl.edu web site.

 

 

 

Sara Beck is the County Executive Director (CED) of the USDA Farm Service Agency office in Cuming County, and she talked about programs that FSA has to help producers deal with the flood.

 

 

 

Roughly 90 people attended.  Presentations from Nebraska Extension, the Farm Service Agency, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. NRCS also has some programs that may serve producers well in recovery. resentations lasted about an hour, followed by at least an hour of one-on-one question and answers.
