KAAPA Ethanol crop progress report for September 20th

The nation’s corn and soybean harvest continued to run at a near-average pace last week, with 10% of corn harvested compared to the five-year average of 9%, and soybeans 6% harvested, equal to the five-year average, as of Sunday, Sept. 19, USDA NASS said in its weekly Crop Progress report on Monday.

U.S. corn condition was rated 59% good to excellent, up 1 percentage point from 58% the previous week. Soybean condition was rated 58% good to excellent, up 1 percentage point from the previous week’s 57%.

Corn dented was 93% and corn mature was 57%. Soybeans dropping leaves were 58%.

Winter wheat planting was 21%, ahead of the five-year average of 18%. Three percent of the crop was emerged compared to the average of 2%.
