Eisenman earns RMAC weekly honor.

Collin Eisenman, the Chadron State College football All-Conference linebacker, earned the first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week nod on Monday for his performance in Saturday’s game versus Fort Lewis College.

The junior from Sheridan, Wyoming, blocked a Fort Lewis punt in the second quarter of the game. Backed up near their own end zone, the Skyhawks’ Joseph Cavale took the snap around the FLC five yard line. Eisenman raced in from the punter’s left and leapt across the path of the ball as it came off his foot, swatting it about 12 yards back where it landed in the end zone.

Tyler Lewis then sped past the punter and pounced on the ball in the end zone for a touchdown.

Eisenman had a similar play last year in the Colorado Mesa game, which like Saturday’s contest was a home opener for the Eagles. He blocked a punt which was recovered by Conor Casey who took it for the score.

This is the second weekly recognition for Eisenman, as he was named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 12, 2015.
