The Rural Radio Network was live at the Nebraska State Fair again this year.    The booth is located in the southeast corner of the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center, under the radio tower’s red beacon.

Friday, September 2:

Shalee Peters and Jesse Harding rounded out our live broadcasts from the fair this year.  Our visits included Ann Marie Bosshamer from the Nebraska Beef Council talking about their culinary contests taking place in the Raising Nebraska building.

Also joining us on Friday was Steve Nelson, President of Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation.

Thursday, September 1:

Shalee Peters and Chad Moyer were manning the booth today. Today was cattlemen’s day at the fair. Two representatives from Nebraska Cattlemen joined the network live, as well as, Nebraska 4-H.



Wednesday, August 31:

Shalee Peters, Jesse Harding and our new farm broadcaster, Susan Littlefield were manning the booth today.  We had some great topics from representatives from the Ne Grain Sorghum and Corn Boards as well as State Fair Executive Director Joseph McDermott and Past President of the U.S. Grains Council Alan Tiemann of Seward.

Tuesday, August 30:

Shalee Peters, Chabella Guzman, Susan Littlefield and Brandon Benitz spend the day at the fair. Today was Littlefield’s first day with the Network. Guests joining them and on air discussions were the milking parlor and dairy shows, students sheering sheep, the latest activities from the NE Soybean Board and Senator Fischer on rural broadband.





Monday, August 29:

Joe Gangwish, Shalee Peters, Chabella Guzman, Barb Margritz and Beth Rodgers spend the day at the fair. Guests joining them and on air discussing the birthing center, milking parlor, classic tractors, sorghum cookies and topics important to Nebraska Farm Bureau members.

Shalee Peters, Joe Gangwish, Beth Rodgers and Jim Liffrig kicked off activities at the fair. Live interviews topics included weather for the week, NE Department of Agriculture, NE Game and Parks Raising Nebraska and NE Farm Bureau activities during the fair.
